Summary of family activities in March 2021

Throughout the month of March, the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra has organised various activities to introduce the country’s families to the current exhibition: Talented Painters of the Same Origin. From Rigalt to Puigdengolas.

The first activity of the month, better known as @cthyssenandorra a #pleinair, was dedicated to the gender perspective to celebrate International Women’s Day. On this occasion, we chose the famous artist Frida Kahlo, whom we introduced to all participants. Afterwards, the people who attended the workshop created their own work inspired by paintings of the Mexican artist.

To celebrate Andorra’s Constitution Day, the country’s landscapes were the protagonists. Discovering the works of Joaquim Mir: Fields of Santa Coloma, and Rafaël Durancamps: Snowy Landscape, the participants were able to recreate the Andorran panoramas in an original and personal way.

Continuing with the March activities, the second edition of Discover the Thyssen Talents, dedicated to the Llotja School, took place on the third weekend. Families discovered the beginnings of this institution connected to the marine world, as well as its history. During the workshop, participants enjoyed a t-shirt printing activity with elements inspired by the sea.

Finally, as part of the International Theatre Day, we presented the play “L’Auca del Senyor Esteve” by Santiago Rusiñol. Each participant created their own story in the form of an auca in the style of Santiago Rusiñol.

From the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra, we thank you for your participation!
