From the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra, we are pleased to announce the release of the new record by pianist and composer Gerard Pastor, together with clarinettist Marta Urzaiz.
Art and music have once again joined forces to unveil a musical proposal inspired by the works of the exhibition FEMINA FEMINAE. Muses and the Collector. From Piazzetta to Delaunay, hosted by the museum in 2018.
The two artists were inspired by works such as “Reclinning Nude Shepherdess” by Berthe Morisot or “The Battery Park” by artist Reginald Marsh.
During the pandemic, the musicians decided to create a surprising journey between clarinet and piano, giving way to musical pieces full of enchantment and movement.
“We are honoured that the museum has become a source of musical inspiration. To bring art and music together in a single project is a significant example of what we are aspiring to achieve. “These are the words of Teresa Areny, project manager of the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra.
The record is made up of several movements led by “Femina Feminae” and “Danses Imaginàries” which will be available in the shop of the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra from the 12th of February, day of the openning of the new exhibition : Talented Painters of the Same Origin: from Rigalt to Puigdengolas, at a price of 15 euros and promoted by the music publishing house Boileau of Barcelona.
