The Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra is collaborating, for the fourth time, in the days for the title of Técnico Auxiliar en Entornos Culturales at the University of Màlaga.
On the 3rd and 4th of March the educational days for the course of Técnico Auxiliar en Entornos Culturales of the University of Málaga took place. The museum has collaborated in this teaching project, with the aim of maintaining synergies between institutions working for social inclusion.
This title is designed for young people with intellectual disabilities and aims to foment professional integration. According to Teresa Areny, project manager of the museum “for the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra, it is an interesting challenge to share synergies with educational institutions and integration projects, which facilitate the fact that young people with intellectual diversities develop professionally in cultural environments, and form an active part of a museum. Diversity must become a habitual reality in spaces of cultural dynamisation“.
With the aim of bringing students closer to a real professional environment, the museum team presented two four-hour sessions, an educational programme that offers tools to boost their proactivity and their ability to integrate into cultural environments.
The virtual days were presented by Raquel Begueria, a member of the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra team, responsible for developing this educational programme during these Malaga days. During these sessions, an educational programme was highlighted that aims to bring art closer to everyone in a fun and innovative way.
Raquel Begueria notes that “firstly, we will explain the model of the museum through the different activities we have developed and through institutional collaborations. Secondly, we will highlight the practical knowledge of museum management, the relationship with visitors and the active role of the professionals involved.”
Their participation was done by streaming, taking into account the measures adopted around COVID-19. The current exhibition Talented Painters of the Same Origin. From Rigalt to Puigdengolas, was visited.
It was a real privilege to have been able to participate in these interventions together with other great Spanish museums!
