The concert “Femina Feminae” and “Imaginary Dances” was a great success!

Last Thursday, August 5 at 8 pm, the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra had the pleasure of welcoming two special guests, the pianist and composer Gerard Pastor and the clarinetist Marta Urzaiz, in an exclusive concert!

As part of the Summer Nights at the Museums program, the two musicians performed live “Femina Feminae” and “The Imaginary Dances”. These two melodies were born in summer 2018, when the composer discovered, during a visit to the museum, the Impressionist artist Berthe Morisot’s Nude Shepherdess lying down and Reginald Marsh’s The Battery Park.

Mixing painting and music, participants enjoyed an explanation of the earlier exhibition Femina Feminae. The Muses and the Collector. From Piazzetta to Delaunay, by the General Curator of the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection and curator of the exhibition, Guillermo Cervera, before letting themselves be carried away by the music.
