Summary of DE FERRO I DE FANG: theatre and dance in museums

The Andorra Shopping Festival reached the country’s museums with the National Scene Foundation of Andorra.

The Carmen Thyssen Andorra Museum became the ideal scene where about forty people lived live in the representation of De Ferro i de Fang. The piece showed the two pillars that now make up the identity of Andorra, the natural world and the modernity.

The relationship between two figures personifying these two pillars—his shock, his bonds, how they transform and modify each other, and how they might come to live together—provided viewers a journey towards the understanding of these two conceptions, expressed by the bodies of the performers, live music and the museum framework.

Under the direction of Alfonso Casal, De Ferro i de Fang brought the talent of the artists and dancers Xavi Pérez, Emma Riba and Monica Vega, who represented the scenes at the rhythm of David Font’s live music.

At the end of the show, the viewers were astonished by the representation. Understanding how the two pillars are present in Andorra and that one does not exclude the other. The day also attracted international visitors.
