Today, the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra invites you to discover an important artwork from the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza collection “The River Touques at Saint-Arnoult“, 1895, by the French artist Eugène Boudin. Specialising in maritime themes, he works mainly outdoors. The painter lets appear in each of his works a subtle and relevant composition of light and its reflections in the water.
Therefore, we let you enjoy the vivid colours of the Normandy landscapes that the artist executes with great mastery. Boudin, together with Claude Monet, inspired the impressionist movement that began in 1874 and which the painter witnessed.
