Come and see the exhibition “Desfragmentar per crear”

The Comú art school in Andorra la Vella and the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra are collaborating for the third consecutive year with an exhibition of works of art by the students of the art school, inspired by fragments of the current exhibition ‘Made in Paris. The generation of Matisse, Lagar and Foujita’. The works will be on view from 1 December to 8 January 2023.

This year, the project is entitled ‘Desfragmentar para crear’ (Defragmenting to create), in which the students are given a new challenge: to take inspiration from a freely chosen fragment of one of the works that make up the current exhibition, to free their imagination and recreate themselves in the brushstroke, in the chromaticism or in pure abstraction. The sample of the works will be presented in a diptych format showing the original fragment and the re-created fragment.

The exhibition of the students’ works, which will be carried out in various artistic disciplines such as painting, photography, engraving and enamel work, will be on display from 1 to 22 December in the foyer of the La Llacuna Cultural Centre and will then be moved to be exhibited in the foyer of the Andorran museum from 23 December to 8 January 2023.
