The Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra is entering the final stretch of the exhibition Talented Painters of the Same Origin. From Rigalt to Puigdengolas, which will close on Sunday 9 January 2022.
The result of collaboration between the Crèdit Andorrà Art Collection and the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, the exhibition has promoted a selection of important works by Catalan artists from the second half of the 19th and first half of the 20th centuries, the height of Catalan art, as well as the artistic schools that helped shape the history of modern art and the avant-garde internationally.
The tour, which illustrates the similarities and differences between the great masters of the era, was completed by the musical discourse, a proposal by the Fundació Orquestra Clàssica Nacional d’Andorra. Albert Gumí, artistic director of the ONCA Foundation, is responsible for the selection of each of the melodies created by musicians contemporary to the painters in the exhibition. In this way, he has created a dialogue between art and music with various instrumental formations such as piano, guitar or song… a way of feeling and discovering the exhibition in an original and different way.
From the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra, we would like to thank you all for your visits, for your active participation in the activities and events that have been organised throughout this exhibition, and for your support.
We look forward to seeing you at the next exhibition to continue enjoying art and culture!
