During the Holy Week holidays, the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra has organised activities around Easter at the Thyssen and the International Theatre Day on 27 March, with a new activity!
Next weekend, you will discover L’Auca del Sr. Esteve, a short story converted into a play and performed as an “antique” version of the comic strip in one of Barcelona’s most peculiar neighbourhoods, Petritxol Street.
This work is the work of one of the artists in the exhibition Talented Painters of the Same Origin. From Rigalt to Puigdengolas, who is part of the bohemian modernist circle of Els Quatre Gats, Santiago Rusiñol.
Participants will discover what an auca is, a practice that is part of the Catalan tradition and which Rusiñol’s work deals with. In addition, families will be able to create their own story and turn it into an auca, as the modernists did more than a century ago.
