This afternoon, the collaboration agreement formalizing the relocation of the Carmen Thyssen Andorra Museum to the Node Building, the future headquarters of Andorra Telecom, was signed. The event was attended by the Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports, M.I. Ms. Mònica Bonell; Mr. César Marquina, Deputy Director General of Andorra Telecom; and Mr. Guillermo Cervera, General Curator of the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection.
The agreement between the Government of Andorra, Andorra Telecom, and the Museand Foundation marks an important step in the evolution of the museum, which is moving towards a new space focused on digital culture. The future museum will have 961.81 square meters distributed across two independent floors, with a permanent exhibition hall and immersive spaces, expanding the current exhibition model.
The museum space located in the former Hostal Valira definitively closed its doors on January 4 with the conclusion of the exhibition Bonds. Cuixart in Conversation with the Carmen Thyssen Collection. During 2026, the museum team will focus its efforts on designing and developing the new museum project.
