This year we once again took part in the Ull Nu Festival with a programme that highlighted creativity, learning, and emerging talent. The festival was held from Wednesday, May 20 to Sunday, May 24, and the collaboration aimed primarily to create links between painting and the seventh art, offering spaces where visual arts engage in dialogue with cinematographic language.
On Friday at 5 p.m., a film poster creation workshop was held for families. Participants had the opportunity to invent a film from scratch: they came up with the title, imagined the names of the actors and actresses, and designed the entire aesthetic of the poster. The activity was a space for play and discovery that brought cinema closer through artistic creativity.
On Saturday at 5 p.m., the screening of the short films submitted to the Fora del Marc competition took place. This contest, launched in parallel with the collaboration of Caldea, was created this year with the aim of offering a space for young emerging talent. The session allowed audiences to discover new perspectives and fresh proposals that enrich the audiovisual landscape.
Finally, on Sunday at 12 p.m., the awards ceremony was held, where the winning and finalist works of the Fora del Marc competition were announced. The first prize went to Xènia Mas and Laura Rosa for the short film Un tren que algún día volverá. The finalists were Chloé Villasevil Roldan and Nayara Branco Raposo with the short film La Bruja.
The experience of this weekend confirms the importance of creating spaces for cultural creation and dissemination that encourage participation and give voice to new generations. The collaboration with Ull Nu allows us to continue promoting audiovisuals as an educational and artistic tool, consolidating a bond that each year brings new opportunities and opens new paths of expression.
