Since you cannot visit the museum, the museum visits you!
Today, the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra proposes to discover exclusively one of the works of the exhibition: “INFLUENCERS in art. From Van Goyen to Pop Art”, from home!
We travel to the Normandy coast with the work painted by the great Impressionist artist Claude Monet: “Low Tide in Varengeville,” 1882.
Oscar-Claude Monet (1840, Paris – 1926, Giverny) was French painter, considered the pioneer of Impressionism, an artistic trend of the second half of the 19th century.
Impressionism is a movement that captures in a painting a specific atmospheric moment and a concrete moment of life through its confrontation with the reality of the landscapes, the atmosphères and the contemporary figures portrayed. It is practiced outdoors and aims to represent a personal vision and sensitivity. Light is an essential element of aesthetic research, just as the application of color, lightly applied to capture the particular tones of the moment.
From the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra we wish you a good visit!
