Following the closure of the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra for the change of exhibition, you are probably wondering what is going on behind the scenes.

As soon as Influencers in Art. From Van Goyen to Pop Art exhibition closes, the boxes of the artworks arrive at the museum. Before being packed by the specialists in art transport (SIT Spain), they are meticulously analysed by the restorers of the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza of Madrid.
The professionals check the state of conservation of each of the works, following the accompanying works sheets, to verify and ensure that they have not been altered or damaged.
Once they are well packed and stored in the crates, a period of adaptation is necessary for the works to acclimatise to their new environment, and then finally, the farewells.
But the adventure doesn’t stop there !
As soon as the pieces leave, the transformation of the museum begins!
From February 12, 2021, you will be able to discover the new face of the exhibition room, which has been custom-made for : Painters of the Same Origin. From Rigalt to Puigdengolas.
