#MCTAChallenge: Pop Art Collage

The new #MCTAChallenge is based on the work of Antonio de Felipe “California Dreams II” and that of Andy Warhol, who also experimented with new techniques, such as screen printing where he mixes photographs, paper cuttings and painting on site. “Mick Jagger”, also in the exhibition “INFLUENCERS in Art. From Van Goyen to” Pop Art “.

This week’s challenge is to use collage and pastiche techniques, like pop artists, for your own work!

What is collage?

It is a pictorial technique that consists of composing a plastic work, joining images, fragments, objects and materials from different backgrounds.

What is the cake?

It is a technique that involves taking certain elements characteristic of an artist’s work and combining them in order to give the impression of being an independent creation.

To participate:

– Make a work using one of two techniques: collage or pastiche

– Take a picture of your work

– Upload it to Instagram with the hashtag #QuedatACasa #MCTAchallenge and tag the museum @cthyssenandorra.

This Sunday, the Carmen Thyssen Andorra Museum will compile all the works received, and upload them in a virtual exhibition on our networks.

Thank you all for keeping the culture alive!
