From the Museu Carmen Thyssen Andorra, we are pleased to share with you the programme of new family activities for the month of March.

 

Programming:

  • @cthyssenandorra a #pleinair with gender perspective: Frida Kahlo, woman artist
    Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 March

On International Women’s Day, celebrated on 8 March, we offer you an activity that will focus on the internationally renowned artist: Frida Kahlo. Following the discovery of this renowned painter, participants will be able to create their own work of art inspired by the most famous paintings of the famous Mexican artist.

 

  • Landscapes of Andorra
    Saturday 13th March

To commemorate Andorran Constitution Day, which takes place on 14 March, we will dedicate this day of activities to our country!

Andorran landscapes present in some of the paintings in the current exhibition: Talented Painters of the Same Origine. From Rigalt to Puigdengolas, as Snowy Landscape, by Rafael Durancamps or Fields in Santa Coloma, by Joaquim Mir.

Unite with us and come to discover and reinterpret the works of these artists with diverse and original materials!

 

  • Discover the Talents of Thyssen: The School of the Llotja
    Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 March

Take part in the second edition of Discover the Talents of Thyssen, this time dedicated to the famous Llotja School.

Through a fantastic story, participants will be able to discover the Barcelona School of Fine Arts, and more specifically its beginnings in the textile industry and its proximity to the marine world.

Families will be able to enjoy a t-shirt print workshop with decorative elements inspired by the sea, such as mermaids, fish, boats, among others.

Participants will be invited to bring their own t-shirt for the workshop. Alternatively, you can purchase the adult size t-shirt at the museum for 10€ and the children’s t-shirt for 5€.

 

  • Easter at the Thyssen
    Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 March

On the last weekend of March, we celebrate Easter at the Thyssen, as well as the International Theatre Day, which takes place on March 27th.

While discovering the play L’Auca del Sr. Esteve, a theatrical work by one of the artists in the exhibition Talented Painters of the Same Origin. From Rigalt to Puigdengolas: Santiago Rusiñol. Each of the participants will be able to create their own story in the form of a comic strip, an activity that the modernists developed to explain little nursery rhymes full of humour and morality, with vignettes, considered to be the predecessors of the comics.

Sundays: 11.15 – 12.30
